Gastric lactobezoar, a pathological collection of milk and mucus in the stomach of milk-fed infants, can present with features of gastric Blender outlet obstruction.A 3-day-old neonate developed abdominal distension with no hemodynamic instability.Abdominal X-ray was suggestive of gastric pneumatosis with heterogeneous opacities in the gastric region indicative of lactobezoar. The patient was managed conservatively with intravenous fluids and gastric lavage at regular intervals.
We highlight this case due to its rare presentation, and when diagnosed early using a simple Llangadog RFC bedside radiological test, it has a good prognosis and minimal recurrence rate.
